Fairs are the Magic Recipe for Hungry Job Seekers and Health Care
Employers
The art of job searching is a difficult process for both ends of the spectrum. Job seekers and employers alike are faced with their set of challenges. Those in search of employment encounter the stress of interviews while those who do the hiring are met with drawbacks and disappointment. The tedious, endless paper work, the repetitive job interviews, the no returned phone calls, the driving to countless locations, and the uninterested employees are a hassle. The problem doesn't fall on the lack of jobs though, but on the limited access to those positions, the information in regard to those job openings, and the availability for employers to seek out what they need specifically.
For health care business hiring management, the insufficient resources to locate the right person for the job is a tall task. It's especially difficult in the health care field where competition is at its peak, certifications and guidelines are strict, and requirements are a necessity.
The solution to the disconnection dilemma between job seekers and hiring management rests in the speed dating version of employment practices. Job fairs are the magic recipe of sugar, spice, and everything nice. They act as a bridge for both health care employers and hungry job seekers. They close a tense gap. They create an open atmosphere. They act as a talent show for employers. The benefits to them are endless. Job seekers have access to a wide array of employers looking to hire immediately whereas employees can snatch the talent they see fit for their company. Everyone wins!
There were over 300 job seekers who attended the 2015 job fair which included 35 Health Care employers focused on hiring Certified EKG technicians, Phlebotomists, Certified Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, and more. The melting pot of job seekers walked in from unemployment lines, colleges, major universities, alumni, friends, and family. Life buzzed, phone camera flashes flickered quicker than a hummingbird's wings, pearly white smiles widened from cheek to cheek, but more importantly than the environment description itself, accomplishments were made on both ends.
Michelle Henriques, the current manager for E & S Health Care Solutions, witnessed firsthand the importance of job fairs for both employers and job seekers. When asked to comment on her experience at the job fair, she expressed her sincerest gratitude and a determined revelation on what transpired in those five hours.
"I knew that employers were struggling to find employees and job seekers were struggling to find work, but after today, I see that it is more than just a struggle; there are so many open positions and The problem is not a lack of jobs in New Jersey; the problem is a lack of resources for employers and job seekers to find each other; especially in health care. I was happy to see such great progress and all these hungry job seekers finally getting employed through that job fair but I must say we were all so tired and exhausted that we really needed some days off after everything that was involved into organizing, managing and hosting the entire event,” she voiced her appreciation and respect for the event.
At the end of the chang wind ling event, a minimum of 93 hires were made within five hours and approximately 114 job seekers reached out to E & S Health Care Solutions.
