Health Care Careers lead to Happiness

Health Care and Happiness

"It is better to give than to receive," is a quote that countless have heard throughout their lives.  The concept of giving being better is difficult to grasp because it is hard to imagine that to give something away is actually better than to receive a desirable object. At first glance the one who receives is who most perceive to be the lucky one, but as one takes a closer look, it's not the outside appearance or the temporary joy that lasts through the test of time.  It's the emotional lift that the giver receives that makes the quote of giving true.

What exactly does it mean that giving is better than receiving?  What joy does someone gain from gifting or helping someone else?  The Health Care profession in its entirety focuses on someone providing another service or assistance to aid them through their tough times.  The concept of giving has become a forefront for health care professionals throughout the world. Those who work in health care often sacrifice many hours of their lives to give those in need a helping hand.  Furthermore, in a career where trust and reliability are a must,  those same individuals retain their high spirits despite some of the hardships they encounter in their line of work.  It's not easy to see people ill or in a bad place in their lives, yet keep a positive attitude and to continue to attempt to make that person's life a bit better.

The reason millions of health care specialists stay happy during their careers is because they see firsthand how their contribution makes a difference.  Their selfless perspectives give meaning to their profession.  They feel the satisfaction of their work as countless of lives are helped for the better.  The gratitude gives a sense of purpose, freedom, joy, and the high of seeing someone in need get back on their feet, because they were helped, doesn't get old.
