Back to School Tips and Tricks

Back to School Tips and Tricks

It's back to school season and you're probably stressing it! These are some tips and tricks to help you get through the next fall season without a problem!

Tip & Trick 1: Plan Ahead

A planner can be your best tool. It's important to plan ahead. With how busy our schedules get during school season, use a planner or a calendar to properly plan your time and your projects.

Tip & Trick 2: Avoid Procrastination

Putting homework, projects, or research papers on hold, may seem like a good idea at first! It can be a pain getting started too, but believe me avoid procrastination at all costs! If necessary, do your work little by little throughout the time you're in class. It will save a lot of time, headaches, and stress.

Tip & Trick 3: Get Enough Sleep

You cannot properly function without sleep. Doctors recommend 8-9 hours a day. Sleeping enough, will help you get through your days easier. If you don't have the time, try taking a 20 minute power nap once a day.

Tip & Trick 4: Healthy Diet

When you're always on the go, it can be hard to stop and think about your food choices. The temptations are everywhere. A healthy diet helps fuel your mind and your body. Eat three meals a day, but make sure you're eating whole grains, fruits/veggies, and energy-enriched foods. You'll thank me later.

Tip & Trick 5: Make Time for Hobbies

Have you heard of the saying "all work and no play?" Working all the time, can fatigue your mind and your body. A "burnout" is what you want to avoid. Read, play video games, go for a walk, cycle, draw, or do what it is that you enjoy doing as long as you fit your hobbies into your schedule.

It will help relieve your stress and refresh your system.

Tip & Trick 6: Ask Questions

Carl Sagan once wrote "there is no such thing as a dumb question." He wrote it to signify that questions are a cry to understand the world. If you want to learn, ask away. Don't hesitate to ask questions to teachers, advisers, or guidance teams. They are there to help you, and you're mission should be to gain knowledge everyday.
