How to Avoid the Loneliness Epidemic

Who would have thought that COVID-19 would effect every aspect of our lives. Sadly, the one aspect of COVID-19 that many media channels have overlooked is the loneliness epidemic. The loneliness among Americans has skyrocketed since the start of the quarantine. This is partially due to the limited accessibility to populated areas. 4

I think you can forget what you’ve heard in your lifetime.  It’s true that we’ve been taught that competitiveness and drive is what leads to success.  This isn’t the case anymore though.  In the world, we see more and more demonstrations advocating for more compassion.

3 Signs You Need to Focus on Your Health

3 Signs You Need to Focus on Your Health

There is a negative stereotype to take care of yourself. In society, a lot of us put others first before we put ourselves. Additionally, it’s not easy to juggle the demands of work, home, family, and the pressure to strive for better. It’s obvious that in the United States the stress levels are near the top! The worst part is that most Americans feel that they are being “lazy” if they decide care for their well being.

However, there is a popular saying. If you do not have your health, you have nothing. It is the truth. I suffered months from low blood sugar and anxiety. I couldn’t perform as well as I wanted too. After taking time off, I was able to return to my old self. Rest is as important as working hard. While some may have you fooled, you cannot perform at your best if you run on fumes.

The health care community has changed the past ten years. In the home care industry, especially public perception, has improved drastically. Medical centers, hospitals, doctors, and other professionals see the home care agency as the primary type of care that seniors should consider when aging.

Are Vocational Schools Worth It? The Answer is…

Are Vocational Schools Worth It? The Answer is…

I know you were probably expecting a simple answer. It is such a frustrating situation. You are on the verge a graduating or better yet on the fence on what your next step should be. There are millions of decisions you can make. You can take time off, go straight into work, earn a four-year degree, or pursue a career by taking training at a vocational school. I know what you may be thinking, and it is exactly why I made this post. Is it work going to vocational school?

The answer yes!

Three reasons that will change your mind to yes:
  1. Vocational schools are less expensive and provide in-demand training for careers that are hot on the market today.
  2. You will spend significantly less. As a matter of fact, Generation Z is more likely, than any other generation, to pursue vocational training.
  3. Your career focused. You will not waste time learning electives that are useless towards your degree.
